The Glorious Return of Learned Fin
Spotted over the weekend while on an idle jaunt around the Tahija Arboretum & LaCross Botanical Gardens behind the Kimpton Hotel, whom should this reporter encounter in the pond but a large Koi! Perhaps the pond has become the new home of Learned Fin, the Law School’s ex-fish-in-residence, who was removed from the fountain in Spies Garden earlier this year after being discovered by North Grounds Facilities Management personnel. The fish can neither confirm nor deny this status as it cannot understand nor respond to questioning, but this reporter holds a little candle of hope in his soul that this is indeed the second coming of Learned Fin. Lo! He is swimming.
If this is indeed not Learned Fin, as the casual thinker might conclude, the question remains: What sort of terrorist upon landscape design is depositing all these fish? Only time, and the 2025-26 run of the Law Weekly, will tell.
